Heintz Art Metal Shops picture frame in pierced bronze with leather and period portrait which is original to this frame. These early Heintz frames are beautiful and quite scarce. Excellent original patina. Leather replaced, but original leather insert is present, although shrunken from age. It’s tucked into the frame behind the photograph. Wooden backer with worn original pinstriped silk and glass also present. Marked with stamped design number “2079” to reverse.
