Large Van Briggle Art Pottery lamp with original butterfly shade. Massive pottery form with subtle ribbed body under a wonderful Persian Rose and Blue matte glaze. Original black painted lamp hardware and sockets. Excellent original condition with no crazing, damage or restoration. Shade has a couple minor breaks to woven stitching around border, which are towards the back and hardly noticeable, otherwise is in excellent condition. Signed under base with incised “AA Van Briggle Colo. Spg’s”. Lamp: 28”h x 21”d. Pottery: 17”h x 6.5”d. Shade: 10”h vertical, (12”h angle) x 21”d bottom (9”d top). $650.
