Extremely rare Charles Rohlfs salad servers crafted in hand wrought silver plated copper and quarter-sawn oak with wonderful riveted construction. The handles slope elegantly forward toward the utensil ends, and are fully faceted with a total of 8 panels, or faces. Excellent original dark finish and condition with beautiful subtle rainbow toned patina to silvered finish. Each signed with impressed “R” inside cross-buck saw mark. There is a similar set in the collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, although their example is much more plain in handle design, and their finish isn’t nearly as intact. Spoon 11.5”l x 2”w. Fork 12”l x 1.75”w. SOLD
